Trails, epic adventures and mental health all tied into one candid, open chat.

When it comes to tackling Tassie trails, you often don't have to look further than endurance athlete Annabel De Jong.

Having recently completed a 100km run (yes, run) to make up for a missed event, Annie is no stranger to embarking on epic journeys whether on two feet or two wheels.

In this chat with the Tassie Athlete, Annie and Dom discuss where her passion for endurance events started and how it can be such an addictive hobby.

Annie has also had her ups and downs mental health - and opens up on what this looked like for her and, interestingly, how long distance running or riding both helps but also hinders her mindset.

We take a moment to thank Annie for her honesty and candidness around what can be a confronting topic - and if this podcast or discussion around mental health or depression brings up any issues for you, you can contact Lifeline on 13 11 14.
